Below is a brief description of the wines allocated to Wine Club Members in October 2023.
Not all Members will get all wines.
COORDENADA CABERNET SAUVIGNON
THIS RICH, FULL ARGENTINE WINE IS MUY BIEN! FRUIT FORWARD AND FULL OF DARK FRUIT FLAVORS AND AROMAS. PAIRS WELL WITH LAMB, BEEF AND ARANCINI AL RAGU.
-BRUTOCAO SAUVIGNON BLANC
STAINLESS STEEL FERMENTED AND DISPLAYS CITRUS NOTES OF LEMON ZEST WITH HINTS OF HONEYDEW MELON. ON PALATE YOU WILL EXPERIENCE GRAPEFRUIT ON ENTRY AND RUBY GRAPEFRUIT ON THE MID PALATE, AND A LONG FINISH OF HONEY. ENJOY IT WITH A WHITE SAUCE PASTA, FLAKY FISH DISH OR SAUCELESS PIZZA.
-ROBERTSON WINERY PINOTAGE
ON THE NOSE ENJOY SMOKY, LEATHERY NOTES THAT BLEND WITH DELICIOUS FLAVORS OF RIPE STRAWBERRIES AND BANANAS ON THE PALATE. A DEEP PURPLE TINT ON THE RIM AND DISTINCT SMOOTHNESS WILL MAKE THIS A WINE TO REMEMBER. ENJOY NOW WITH ROAST BEEF, ROAST CHICKEN, STEWS AND IF YOU’RE FEELING BOLD TRY IT WITH GAME (DEER, VENISON).

LOOKING FOR AN OAKEY, BUTTERY CHARDONNAY FILLED WITH CITRUS? CHECK, CHECK, CHECK.THIS SONOMA COAST BEAUTY FULFILLS ALL OF ITS PROMISES. YOU WILL ALSO FIND JUICY PEAR, HONEY AND WHITE FLOWERS TO BALANCE OUT THE ACIDITY. SALMON, TUNA, POULTRY AND PORK WILL BE PERFECT PARTNERS TO ENJOY WHILE WELL CHILLED. IF YOU ARE FEELING BOLD, TRY IT LIGHTLY CHILLED WITH CLAM LINGUINI.

Cantina La Veneranda, Bevagna, Umbria, Italy
V-NO Exclusives from La Veneranda in Umbria, Italy will arrive in Q4 2023 exclusively in V-NO Wine Bars and V-NO Wine club.
Cantina La Veneranda is proudly run by Robert and his son Ricardo along with Eleonora Alessandrelli and Anna Rita Scarca, the women behind this female owned and operated winery.
The winery is located outside the town of Bevagna, in the heart of Umbria. The rolling hills and distant mountains form the scenic backdrop for the tasting room and outdoor patio.
The wine tastings are casual and friendly and feature products made by them, with products from their the vineyard’s farm. It includes sliced meats, cheeses, breads, and jams. All of this exists steps away from the ancient city of Montefalco; the wine capital of Umbria.
If you are fortunate enough to have Robert lead your wine tasting, he will tell you stories about the wines and the wine-making process and the awards they have received. He is extremely friendly and enjoys sharing his knowledge with his guests.
La Veneranda has a line of 9 wines featuring the unique grapes of the Montefalco area within Umbria incuding Grecchetto, Trebiano Spoletino and Sagrantino as well as more common grapes like Merlot and Sangiovese.
The first shipment V-NO will receive will include Ricardo I Umbria Rosso and Aureo Umbria Bianco.
Ricardo I is an easy to drink red wine made from 60% Umbrian Sangiovese, 35% Merlot and 5% of another local red grape. The grapes are grown 250 maters above sea level in Montefalco. It is aged traditionally in stainless steel tanks with 10 days of skin contact. It is aged in oak Oak barrels then in the bottle for a total of 4 months. It is a great pizza wine or can be served with red meat or pasta.
Aureo is a delicate white wine with tastes of peach with a fresh and dry taste. It has a straw yellow color with 90% Grechetto and 10% Viognier grapes. It is grown in La Veneranda’s Montefalco and Foligno vineyards at 200 meters above sea level. It is an easy drinking wine that can be enjoyed alone on a hot day or with any seafood.
